What happened: Kaydin Bradeen went 4 for 4 with an RBI and the top-seeded Wildcats (21-0) won their straight 3A/2A slowpitch softball state title by defeating the third-seeded Titans (18-3) at Kiwanis Field in Yakima on Saturday. Quincy Schuerman and McKenzie Morris hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 11-1. What happened: Quincy Schuerman hit two home runs with four RBIs and the top-seeded Wildcats (19-0) shut out the eighth-seeded Beavers (9-5) in five innings in a State 3A/2A first-round game at Kiwanis Field in Yakima on Friday. Schuerman finished 3 for 4 with three runs and four RBIs, while Kaydin Bradeen knocked in four with three hits including a double. Six Wildcats had multi-hit games. Mt. Spokane faces Kelso in semifinal at 7 p.m. on Friday.
