Cooper Liefke ran for three scores, Luke Wavrin added another and Sunnyside Christian held off St. John-Endicott 38-36 in a Southeast 1B game on Thursday at St. John. After Sunnyside jumped out to a 32-12 lead entering the fourth quarter, Wilson Lundberg did all he could to carry the Eagles back into the game. Lundberg scored three touchdowns in the final quarter and finished with 342 yards on 30 carries for the game. Liefke ran for 165 yards and Wavrin chipped in with 92 yards on the ground.
