SEATTLE – The Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association laid out major penalties and fines against Roosevelt High School, head coach and former Seattle Seahawks player Sam Adams and the Seattle Public Schools athletic office this week, as a result of the WIAA’s investigation into allegations that the Roosevelt football program recruited players in recent seasons.
Just as they packed the Spokane Arena for years, Spokane Shock fans filled the second-floor room of the team’s downtown office space Friday as championship trophies, game-worn jerseys and other equipment and memorabilia were auctioned to the highest bidders.
There are no more games at the Arena for fans of the Spokane Shock to attend, but they could own a piece of the team’s history – and probably at a great price.

The Spokane Shock will lose its home arena at 5 p.m. Wednesday unless team owner Sam Adams secures financial backing for a contract he previously signed with the Spokane Public Facilities District.
