Seattle Reign look to conclude Spokane residency with three straight wins

With ongoing renovations at their typical home stadium, Lumen Field, which will be a host site in Sodo for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, NWSL club Seattle Reign made a brief three-game stand in the Lilac City to kick off their new season. Following a shut out loss at Portland on March 20, Seattle rolled to consecutive victories over No. 13 Kansas City Current, and 15-ranked Racing Louisville in their first two matches in Spokane last Wednesday and Saturday. They will defend their temporary home turf for the final time against expansion Denver Summit FC on Saturday at ONE Spokane Stadium at 5:45 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Ion.

‘A great sign for Washington soccer’: Sounders play for sold-out crowd in Spokane

Spokane is a sports town. While it's official nickname is "Hooptown USA," the city is also home to extremely passionate soccer fans. That passion was evidenced by the endless sea of green, black, blue and white worn by the 5,126 spectators that sold out ONE Spokane Stadium on Wednesday night to watch the Seattle Sounders defeat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 (5-1 aggregate) in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16, and advance to the quarterfinals.
