Earl Moore of Spokane, past president of a state association for the professional group, said hospital-based respiratory therapists are part of a team with doctors and nurses for COVID-19 patients.

Spokane orthopedic care adapts in COVID-19 world

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is urging local patients with sprains and basic fractures to bypass hospital emergency rooms and go to its clinics for newly created express care. This is among temporary steps to reduce the strain on local health care systems and conserve protective gear at hospitals.
