Police Seek Restaurant Robbery Suspect

Coeur d’Alene police still are looking for a man who robbed Taco John’s on Fourth Street about 10:30 Saturday night.

Restaurant employees said the man walked into the restaurant, placed a dollar bill on the counter and asked for change. When an employee opened the cash register, the man brandished a revolver and threatened to shoot.

The man then ordered the employee onto the floor and began grabbing money from the cash register.

Police said the suspect has a dark complexion, is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 165 pounds. He has a bandage on his right cheek and was wearing a black and blue flannel jacket with blue jeans. The suspect also wore gold wire-rimmed glasses, a baseball cap and had short, brown hair.
