Grant County Fair To Open Five-Day Run

Serious fairgoers will want to mosey on over to Moses Lake for the annual Grant County Fair, which gets under way on Tuesday.

There are five days of events highlighted by several concerts and the Moses Lake Round-Up.

Country singer Doug Stone kicks off the fair Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Rodeo Arena. Tickets are available for $22, $20, $18.50 and $10.50 through Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (206) 268-0888.

All other events are free.

Don’t miss the always-popular Demolition Derby, Wednesday, at the Rodeo Arena. The metaltorquing fun begins at 7:30 p.m.

Singer Rhonda Walker performs twice Wednesday, at 7 and 9:30 p.m., in the Bryan Miller Plaza.

Thursday, the chuckwagons will be tearing up the Rodeo Arena grounds at 7 p.m. Following the races, at 7:45, will be the Moses Lake Round-Up. The chuckwagon races as well as the roundup continue through Saturday.

At 7 and 9:30 p.m., Beatlemania will take the stage in the Bryan Miller Plaza.

On Aug. 19, take in the sweet songs from Christian-country singer Susie Luchsinger. She performs in the Bryan Miller Plaza at 7, and again at 9:30 p.m.

Peter Noone, formerly of Herman’s Hermits and current host of the VH-1 program “My Generation” plays Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Bryan Miller Plaza.
