Get A Hunch, Bet A Bunch

The filly and mare division appears to be one of the best on the grounds this season and, although a couple members of the group - members who may be pure sprinters - are missing, tonight’s feature will be a factor in deciding the division championship. Reserve It, right there twice in sprints, will be matched against last year’s distaff champion, Candy’s Wow, at eight furlongs, a distance both will prefer. Pop Star Mackee, stakesplaced last fall, has been close in all three of her shorter races and may try to hog the course. Empil’s Pleasure is fresh from a stakes win at Les Bois Park. Unshakeable scratched to try what looks like a perfect spot in the second race. Thanks to Honeymoon Martini and Toucha Flier, the first half of the twin trifecta might be easy, but the second half looks tough because all eight horses are at or near top form.

Here are tonight’s selections:

$5 daily doubles combining TWO AN OH and SHE FREE in the first race with UNSHAKEABLE in the second ($10).

$2 daily doubles pairing SEVENTEEN STARS, ELLA’S DARLING, WHY DILLY DALLY, TOM TOM DANCE and JAHNNY FRENCH with UNSHAKEABLE ($10).

SECOND: $10 to win.

FOURTH: $5 to win on KERRI O’TULE.

FIFTH:$2 exacta wheel with BANDANA FLYER as key horse.

SIXTH: $5 to win on HONEYMOON MARTINI, $5 exacta box pairing HONEYMOON MARTINI and TOUCHA FLIER ($10).

NINTH: $5 quinella wheel with RESERVE IT as key horse ($20), $221 to show on RESERVE IT.

TENTH: $1 trifectas with MUSICAL KELLY on top to every combination of PAPAS GAL LYNN, BUTTON WILLOW, BOLD CHATTER and POWER TO SINGH second and third ($12).

Original bankroll: $3,000.
