Rayonier Pulp Mill Fined For Safety Violations

B

The state has levied $63,000 in fines against the Rayonier Pulp Mill at Port Angeles for nine serious workplace safety violations, the Department of Labor and Industries announced Friday.

The fines were imposed for a December incident in which two workers were burned by hot pulp stock flowing from a manhole during machine repairs, DL&I said in a news release.
