Sparling To Coach

Greg Sparling, who took over as interim coach of Central Washington University’s men’s basketball team when Gil Coleman became sick and later died, will coach the team next season.

Sparling was given a one-year appointment as interim coach while the university begins a national search this fall for a permanent replacement for Coleman, who died March 6. Sparling is expected to apply for the position.
