Nampa Contractor Named To Ed Board
Jerry Hess, Nampa contractor, has been appointed by Gov. Phil Batt to the state Board of Education to fill the rest of the term of Joe Parkinson.
Batt announced the appointment on Friday, filling one of two openings on the eight-person board.
The governor’s office said Batt still is working on the other appointment, to succeed Keith Hinckley of Blackfoot. A spokesman said Hinckley probably would be asked to continue on the board through next week’s meeting in Idaho Falls.
