Easter Bunny Gives Way To Members Of Congress

Like forgotten tulips, members of Congress pop up in the darnedest places in the spring.

Returning to Washington’s 5th District for Easter break, Rep. George Nethercutt will be at Mead High School Tuesday morning, a radio talk show in the afternoon and a town hall public meeting at 7 p.m. in North Central High School.

At 7 a.m. Friday, he speaks at the Red Lion Inn to the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Connections breakfast. The event cost $10 per person and reservations are required by calling 924-4994.

Meanwhile, Sen. Patty Murray on Tuesday tours Washington State University before making stops in Colfax, Walla Walla and Moses Lake, Wash.

Sen. Dirk Kempthorne of Idaho speaks to the Moscow Chamber of Commerce at noon Thursday and the Associated Logging Contractors at 7 p.m. Friday.
