Exhibition To Feature Lilac Flower

In celebration of the Lilac Festival, the Corbin Art Center is hosting its annual Juried Lilac Exhibition starting Wednesday, May 3.

The exhibit invites artists from Washington, Idaho and Montana to submit work that portrays “the feeling or essence of the lilac flower.”

A special reception will be held on Thursday, May 4. the Lilac Exhibition runs through May 25. For more information, call the Corbin Art Center at 625-6677.

Children’s choir audition

The producers of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice Broadway musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” a recounting of the biblical story of Joseph, are looking for two amateur children’s choirs to perform in the musical when it stops in Spokane from Sept. 26 through Oct. 1.

Interested choirs must attend the “Dreamcoat Choir Challenge” at the Spokane Opera House Thursday, May 4. For more information, call Tim Peterson at 624-1520.

Artist in Kirkland exhibit

JoAnne Nixon, a Spokane watercolor artist, is one of two featured artists at the watercolor exhibit at the Howard/Mandville Gallery in Kirkland. Her work will be on display until the end of April.
