Description Of Suspect Similar In Two Theater Robberies
Two North Idaho movie theaters were robbed of hundreds of dollars last weekend - each by a man carrying a small, dark-colored handgun, according to police reports.
On Saturday at about 10 p.m. a robber took several hundred dollars from the Coeur d’Alene Act III Theater, said Coeur d’Alene Police Capt. Carl Bergh.
On Sunday at about 9:40 p.m. a lone gunman took about $350 from the University 4 Theater in Moscow, Idaho, according to a report from the Moscow Police Department.
Police are not sure whether the two robberies are related, but both remain under investigation, Sgt. Neil Odenborg said. No arrests have been made.
In both incidents, the robber walked up to the theater ticket booth, displayed his gun and demanded money from the clerk.In Moscow, the robber ran away on foot but was not seen getting in a car, according to a Moscow report.
The description of both robbers is similar.
In both cases he is described as a white man in his late teens to early 20s with a thin build, and either 6 feet or 6 feet 2 inches tall.
Both robbers are described as having mediumlength brown hair, wearing a dark sweatshirt and carrying a small handgun with his face partially covered. The Coeur d’Alene suspect was wearing a dark baseball cap.
