Boxer’s Body Identified

A body matching the description of mission U.S. Boxing Association welterweight champion James Hughes was found, according to investigators with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department.

Hughes has been missing since his truck was discovered almost two weeks ago.

Members of Hughes’ family were on the scene as the sheriff’s flotilla retrieved the badly decomposed 29-year-old boser.

An employee at CSX Railroad discovered the body in a swamplike, wooded area about a half-mile from where Hughes’ truck was found July 25.
