Hanna & Associates Win National Awards

Hanna & Associates recently received five awards at the National Grocers Association’s 1995 Excellence in Advertising competition for work completed on behalf of Tidyman’s grocery stores.

Hanna & Associates received three first-place awards and was runner-up in two more categories. The company competed against 600 entries nationwide.

Dayne Hanna, agency president, was asked to join a panel of recognized grocery services experts to educate association members on marketing techniques.

Marine Cpl. Isaac O. Waite, son of Julie Slankard, Coeur d’Alene, was recently promoted to his present rank while serving with 9th Communications Battalion, 1st Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Intelligence Group, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Waite is a 1991 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School.

John Clute, dean of Gonzaga University School of Law, won the 1995 Pat K. Harwood Award for Distinguished Service to Idaho Business. The statewide award is from the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry. Clute, a native of Kooskia, Idaho, served two terms as IACI chairman in the late 1970s and six years on its board of directors. He worked 16 years for Boise Cascade Corp., before taking the Gonzaga position in 1991.

Ruth Ann Lewis, Coeur d’Alene, recently completed advanced courses for the National Tax Practice Institute. Lewis, employed with the National Association of Enrolled Agents, has worked in taxation for 25 years and is licensed by the Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
