Library Trustees Vote To Refinance Bonds
Taxpayers will save $79,000 over the next 12 years, thanks to the Kootenai County Libraries Board of Trustees.
The board voted Wednesday to refinance bonds to take advantage of declining interest rates.
In 1991, taxpayers voted in support of a 2.4 million dollar bond issue to build libraries in Athol, Spirit Lake, Rathdrum, and Hayden, purchase a bookmobile, upgrade the computer system and add more books.
