Bagwell Gets Ready For Friday Return

Jeff Bagwell has learned he can be hit by a pitch in any league.

The Houston Astros first baseman, out since July 30 when his left hand was broken by a pitch, was struck on the left leg by a pitch in the sixth inning Wednesday night as he played for Class AA Jackson. Bagwell has been with Jackson for a four-game rehabilitation assignment and is scheduled to rejoin the Astros on Friday.

In his first three games at Jackson, Bagwell was 0 for 8 with three walks and two strikeouts, although he had made some solid contact.
