Lebeck Wins At Sahalee
After three playoffs holes, Dave Lebeck won the Northwest Players’ Championship at Sahalee Country Club in Redmond.
The 23-year-old out of Portland held off 18-year-old Ryuji Imada of Tampa, Fla., in the playoff after each had a even-par 72 on the South-North nines at Sahalee to finish the 54-hole tournament at 214, 2-under. Lebeck was 4-under with just two holes to play, but found the water on the 206-yard, par-3 17th hole and his double-bogey let Imada right back in it.
However, Lebeck held on for pars on the next four holes while Imada did the same for three of those holes before bogeying on the third playoff hole.
