Rapier, Thompson Help Nic Walk Past Salt Lake Cc, 91-66

Gabriel Rapier and Troy Thompson each scored 18 points to give the North Idaho College men a 91-66 victory over Salt Lake on Saturday and its first Scenic West Athletic Conference basketball win.

Darnell McCoy had 14 points and 10 rebounds for North Idaho, which pulled away from a 37-30 halftime lead.

Kevin Byrne added 15 points and Ajene Robertson 12 for the Cardinals.

NIC, 10-1 overall, suffered its first loss Friday, falling 105-87 to Utah Valley State.

The Cardinals got 46 points from their bench.
