Stan Schedler Completes Life Insurance School

Stan Schedler, of Schedler-Ballou Insurance in Coeur d’Alene, has recently completed an intensive two-week commercial life insurance school for agents at the home office of Safeco Insurance Cos. in Seattle.

The full schedule of daily classes during the course covered topics of complete protection for commercial buildings, furniture, fixtures, merchandise, automobiles, liability and income, along with training to tailor programs to fit specific client needs.

Best Western Templin’s Resort’s Shirley Roe-Shaw was named Employee of the Month for November by her colleagues at the resort.

Roe-Shaw has worked for Templin’s Resort as a housekeeper since May of 1993.

She was chosen because she is dependable, volunteers when help is needed, calls guests by name, and has a positive attitude and a very good work performance.

Ron Hodge of Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries recently gained membership into the American College of Forensic Examiners. The ACFE recognizes education and experience of individuals engaged in forensic examinations covering multidisciplinary training in scientific, medical and investigative sciences.

Hodge is a 1965 Coeur d’Alene High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in mortuary science from the University of Minnesota.

He is a Coeur d’Alene native and has been giving death-investigation instruction at the Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy in Boise for 10 years. He also instructs the same course for the North Idaho College law enforcement program. He has served as coroner for Benewah County since 1982 and is the deputy coroner for Kootenai and Shoshone Counties.
