Drivers Asked To Mark ‘Lights On For Life’

Idaho State Police are asking all drivers to turn on their headlights when driving today in memory of the people who died in alcohol and drug-related traffic accidents.

Drivers nationwide are being asked to participate in the “Lights on for Life” memorial in hopes of focusing attention on the drunken driving problem during the holiday season.

In Idaho, 17,646 people were killed or injured in vehicle collisions during 1994. More than 2,000 of those were alcohol-related, according to the ISP. , DataTimes
