Riley Takes Early Lead

Wayne Riley, negotiating strong winds and slow greens, shot a 5-under-par 66 to take a three-stroke lead after the opening round of the Johnnie Walker World Championship of Golf.

In second place at 69 was Fiji’s Vijay Singh, with Americans Loren Roberts and Fred Couples in third at 70.
