Late Heroics Spark Flyers By Penguins

Eric Desjardins scored the tying goal and set up the game-winner late in the third period as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-5 Sunday at Philadelphia.

Keeping the puck in from the right point, Desjardins skated around Petr Nedved in the slot and sent a backhand pass to Rod Brind’Amour, who scored his 10th goal with 2:12 remaining.
