Wenatchee Valley at NIC

NIC (12-1) entertains Wenatchee Valley (6-5) in a men’s non-conference game at 7:30 at Christianson Gym before taking a break for the holidays. NIC, which spanked Wenatchee 98-68 about three weeks ago, won’t play again until Jan. 12 against College of Southern Idaho.

Wenatchee coach Greg Franz doesn’t have fond memories of the first meeting. “It was over in the first 15 minutes,” he said. Wenatchee has played solid competition since then, but Franz doesn’t know if that will make much difference. “We’ll have our feet firmly planted on the floor. This is by far Rolly Williams’ (NIC coach) most talented group in the eight years I’ve been coaching against him.” Wenatchee is led by guard Ladd Preppernau’s 16 points per game.
