Jacob Lehl Fort Collins, Colo.

Graveside service for Jacob Daniel “Dan” Lehl, 78, will be today at 1 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lehl, a former Sandpoint resident, died Thursday.

He was born in Loveland, Colo., and moved to Sandpoint in 1951.

Mr. Lehl married Audrey Lloyd in Spokane in 1961. He worked in Sandpoint as a lumber saw operator until retiring in 1982. He moved to Fort Collins several years ago.

He enjoyed woodworking and making covered-wagon lamps for his family.

Mr. Lehl was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include a brother, Lee Lehl of Denver; and two sisters, Alberta Morgan and Lydia Horney, both of Fort Collins.

Mildred Andersen Silverton, Idaho

Memorial service for Mildred Andersen, 92, will be today at 10 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.

Mrs. Andersen, who was born in Chillicothe, Mo., died Sunday.

She moved to Medimont, Idaho, in 1936 and began a farm. Her husband, Andrew Andersen, died in 1945.

Mrs. Andersen moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1949 and worked at the Woolworth store for 16 years. She recently moved to Silverton.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include five sons, Ralph of St. Maries, Richard of Everett, Andrew of Kellogg, Dale of Las Vegas, Nev., and Wayne of Spokane; one brother, Stephen Holmes of Oregon; one sister, Gladys Rasor of St. Maries; 27 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

George Pullins Post Falls

Memorial service for George L. Pullins, 70, will be today at 1 p.m. at the English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls.

Mr. Pullins, who was born in Delta, Colo., died Saturday.

He was raised in Caldwell, Idaho, and served in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he returned to Caldwell and later moved to Metaline Falls, Wash. He moved to Post Falls 19 years ago after working as a miner in the Pend Oreille Mine in Metaline Falls.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis. Survivors include three sons, Ron of Post Falls, Cecil of Washington and Marc of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Cleo Pullins of California; a sister, Gwen Therber of Crouch, Idaho; and eight grandchildren.

Richard Brown Jr. Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Richard S. Brown Jr., 35, will be today at 1 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Brown drowned last Wednesday in the Clark Fork River near Hope, Idaho.

He was born in Independence, Mo., and grew up in Kansas. He became a captain with the fire department in Iola, Kan.

He married Dusty McKenzie in 1984 and moved to Coeur d’Alene a year and a half ago. He was a lieutenant with Kootenai County Fire District 1.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer; his mother, Nancy Brown of Missouri; five brothers, David of Cherryvale, Mo., Doug of Kansas City, Mo., and Dennis, Danny and Pat, all of Dallas; two sisters, Sandy Greenwood of Illinois and Marsha Shouse of Cherryvale; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elmer Irons Sandpoint

Memorial service for Elmer Milton Irons, 89, will be today at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Irons, who was born in Waterville, Wash., died Thursday.

He worked as a wheat farmer in Colfax, Wash., before moving to Sandpoint in 1945. He operated a dairy farm in Kootenai.

Mr. Irons loved animals and was a member of the Kootenai Grange. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie. Survivors include a son, Ron of Arizona; two daughters, Doris Stockman of Arizona and Eileen Rasmussen of California; a sister, Marie Phillip of Sandpoint; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Harold Black Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Harold W. Black, 83, will be Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, 1470 Hanley Ave., Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel of Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Black, who was born in Columbus, Ohio, died Sunday.

He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1986 from Emmett, Idaho.

He married E. Lenore Ullom, and she died in 1987. In 1988 he married Lois Goppert. Mr. Black was a Methodist minister and had lived in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

He loved people and reading.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald of Hillsboro, Ore.; two daughters, Constance Black of Chicago and Rhonnie Gee of Rathdrum, Idaho; a brother, Clarence; two sisters, Ruth and Verna; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arthur Olson Seattle

Graveside service for Arthur R. Olson, 86, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Moscow Cemetery in Moscow, Idaho. Short’s Funeral Chapel of Moscow is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Olson, a longtime Pullman and Spokane area barber, died Friday in Seattle from complications related to a stroke.

He was born and raised in Moscow, and attended the Mohler Barber School in Spokane. He returned to Pullman and was a barber for many years before serving with the Army Air Force during World War II. He served as an airplane mechanic specialist in France and Germany.

After military service, he operated a barber shop in Spokane. Mr. Olson married his wife, Ruth, in 1947. In 1978 he retired and moved to Seattle.

His wife died in 1981.

He enjoyed working with wood and building shelves and flower boxes.

Mr. Olson was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Spokane, the American Legion and the Barbers Union.

Survivors include stepson, Clinton Proffitt of Seattle; two stepgranddaughters, three nephews and one niece.
