Ottawa broke its eight-game losing streak Wednesday night as Ted Drury’s second goal of the game, a power-play score with 1:54 left, gave Ottawa a win.
Buffalo’s loss was compounded when leading scorer Pat LaFontaine sustained a mild concussion midway through the first period and did not return.
Drury sent the puck through rookie goalie Martin Biron’s legs from about 20 feet as Ottawa, the team with the worst record in the NHL, won for only the eighth time this season.
