Mabel Ellen Farnsworth Spokane

Mabel Ellen (Ellis) Farnsworth, Spokane, will celebrate her 100th birthday today.

Mrs. Farnsworth was born Feb. 7, 1895, in Springdale, Wash., and at one time lived in Chewelah, Wash. She has lived at the Mansion House Nursing Home since August 1994.

She married Ralph Farnsworth, who died in 1970.

Mrs. Farnsworth was a homemaker and mother of eight children, three of whom are still living: Irvin Kenney, Cusick, Wash.; Marshel Kenney, Coeur d’Alene; and Mildred Gates, Cheney. She has 26 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.

She attributes her longevity to “good health, genes and good luck.”
