Burridge To Kings For Rychel
The Los Angeles Kings acquired 10-year NHL veteran left winger Randy Burridge from the Washington Capitals on Friday in exchange for winger Warren Rychel.
The Capitals then traded Rychel to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a fourth-round draft choice 1995 or 1997 entry draft.
The Capitals have the option of which entry draft in which to use Toronto’s fourth-round pick, general manager David Poile said.
In 509 career games, Burridge has 156 goals and 176 assists while amassing 400 penalty minutes. He appeared in two games for the Capitals this season without scoring a point.
Flyers-Canadiens trade
In the second transaction between the teams in two days, the Philadelphia Flyers sent center Mark Lamb to the Montreal Canadiens.
The Flyers, who traded Mark Recchi and a third-round draft choice to Montreal for Eric Desjardins, John LeClair and Gilbert Dionne Thursday, also claimed a player the Canadiens had waived, center Jim Montgomery.
Lamb had two assists in eight games for the Flyers this season after being acquired last season in a trade with the Ottawa Senators. In 363 NHL games, he has 45 goals and 100 assists.
