Ccs Gets Bounced, Finishes In Ot Defeat

The Spokane Sasquatch men’s basketball team just has a thing for collecting overtime. Against Big Bend on Saturday night, though, CCS came away with a blank check in a 96-92 overtime defeat to end its regular season.

CCS (5-6 NWAACC, 8-16) had five players in double figures, while Big Bend had four players equal the feat in the shootout.

The teams basically flip-flopped halves. CCS held a 46-33 halftime lead before Big Bend came back to outscore the Sasquatch 50-37 after intermission.

Dean Smith pumped in 18 points to lead CCS, while Chad Goldsmith had 16, Damian Schug 12, Miles Guerra 11 and Nate Kelsey 10.
