Woman Seeks To Oust Fox

Associated Press

Carole Wells walked out of a state PTA meeting with schools Superintendent Anne Fox and decided to launch a statewide recall effort against her.

“I think she is taking the public schools on a really rocky road,” said the Pocatello woman.

About 20 people have called the secretary of state’s office seeking information. Wells is the first recall organizer to surface.

No recall effort can officially commence until Fox has served 90 days in office, or not before April 2.

Then, organizers would need the signatures of 125,161 registered voters and they would have only 60 days to collect them.

Finally, they would need to win 227,257 votes against Fox, the same number that elected her Nov. 8.
