WSU Players Arrested

Two Washington State University football players have been arrested after allegedly encouraging the driver of a car to run over a campus police officer.

Officer Bryan Jacobson had to pull his gun to make sure the driver did not move the car, police reports said.

Shaheed Evans, 21, of California and James J. Cage, 19, then told the driver to run over Jacobson, who was standing in front of the car.

Evans, a junior, is the only player arrested to see much actual time on the football field.
