Blair Speeds To Victory

Bonnie Blair, the five-time Olympic champion in her farewell season, won the 500-meter race in a speedskating World Cup meet at Inzell, Germany.

Blair was timed in 40.56 seconds in windy conditions and won comfortably over Shiho Kusunose of Japan, who was timed in 40.82.

Americans Kip Griffen and Nikki Stone won the men’s and women’s competition in a World Cup freestyle aerials meet in Kirchberg, Austria.
