Carla Haller had seven rebounds and five steals and Rachael Royster had 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals as the Wampus Cats rolled.

Haller, who was called up from the junior varsity for the Saturday game, also contibuted eight points as Clark Fork ran its record to 4-1 in league play and 10-4 overall.

The Warriors fell to 1-5 and 4-8.

Hayden Kristianson and Summer Wood combined for 23 points Saturday night to lead Chewelah to a 46-39 Northeast A League girls basketball win at Medical Lake.

Chewelah (5-3, 6-4) outscored the Cardinals 24-17 over the first and third quarters.

Mardell Davis scored 12 points as the Cardinals (0-8, 1-9) played one of their better games, but fell two quarters short.

Angie Hall and freshman Laura Widman had 12 rebounds each as the Bulldogs (9-0, 10-3) finished with 48 rebounds. Hall also had six of 13 Colfax steals.

Heather Sims and Jennifer O’Brien, who played only the last 3 minutes after being called up from the junior varsity, combined for 10 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Deer Park rally. However, the Stags committed four costly turnovers in a row to allow the Grizzlies (5-4, 8-5) to escape.

The Bulldogs (3-6, 4-9) went 7 of 10 from the field in the first quarter and held a 19-6 lead early in the second quarter, but it was not enough to prevent the Rams from rallying at home.

Riverside (8-1, 11-2), behind a stingy man-to-man defense, went on a 25-4 run over the next quarter and a half. Alana Carlander finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in the victory.

Lisa Matter had 21 points for Kettle Falls.
