Cranbrook Man Killed In Wreck
A 57-year-old Cranbrook, British Columbia, man was killed late Friday when the car he was riding in veered off U.S. Highway 95 south of the Canadian border.
The accident occurred 13 miles from the border. Alcohol was involved, according to the Idaho State Police.
Norman Joseph was thrown from a southbound 1981 Buick Skylark as it flipped over several times in gravel along the roadside. He was tossed into rocks along the road and died at the scene at about 8:40 p.m. Joseph was not wearing a seat belt, an ISP report stated.
The car’s driver and two other passengers were hospitalized after being thrown from the vehicle. None wore seat belts.
The driver, 48-year-old Kenneth Louie, and 59-year-old Stan Sangrete, both of Creston, British Columbia, were listed in stable condition at Boundary Community Hospital.
A third passenger, 53-year-old Moses George of Creston was listed in serious condition at Kootenai Medical Center.
