Mary ‘Chris’ Wanzenried Spokane

Private family service will be held for Mary “Chris” Wanzenried. Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wanzenried, 63, died Thursday. She was born and raised in England and moved to the United States in 1954.

She moved to Spokane 27 years ago and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Wanzenried and Wendy Dooley; four sons, David Wanzenried, Christopher Wanzenried, Robert Wanzenried and Paul Wanzenried; and her former husband, Walter Wanzenried.

Robert Cromwell Medford, Ore.

Private family graveside service was held for Robert Charles Cromwell, 74, at the Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.

Mr. Cromwell, a World War II Army veteran, died Jan. 21. Born in Portland, he graduated from the University of Oregon in 1943.

He married Marjorie Van Soelen in 1947 and they lived in Spokane for more than 35 years.

Mr. Cromwell ran an office supply business.

He recently moved to Medford, Ore.

Mr. Cromwell was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Cromwell of Federal Way, Wash., and Bruce Cromwell of Enumclaw, Wash.; a daughter, Nanette Cromwell of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Jesse Myers

Spokane

Private family service will be held Jesse H. Myers.

Ball and Dodd Funeral Home South is in charge of cremation and arrangements.

Mr. Myers, 89, died Friday. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he moved to Spokane 73 years ago.

He was a photographer for Myers Elite Studio.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Johnson of Spokane; one niece and two nephews.

Verniece Franks Greenacres

Memorial service for Verniece Franks, 75, will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 4 at Calvary Chapel, E16409 Broadway.

Mrs. Franks died Wednesday from complications of Alzheimers disease.

Born in Buelah, N.D., she moved to Greenacres in 1958.

Her first husband, Louie Buschbacher, and her second husband, Duke Franks, both preceded her in death.

Survivors include four children, Lorna Johnson and Louie Buschbacher, both of Portland, Ray Buschbacher of Newport, Wash., and M.J. Franks of Greenacres; three sisters, Frances Stuhr of Montana, and Pearl Krecklau and Judy Voegele, both of North Dakota; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Spokane Alzheimers Association.

Flora Paddock Spokane

Memorial service for Flora L. Paddock, 82, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Pilgrim Lutheran Church followed by burial at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Paddock died Wednesday. Born in Holly, Colo., she moved to Spokane 80 years ago.

She graduated from North Central High School and retired as a cook from School District 81.

Mrs. Paddock was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

She married Harold “Jim” Paddock in 1936. He died in 1974.

Survivors include a son, Terry Paddock of Spokane; a daughter, Mary Ann Airth of Alsea, Ore.; six grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Memorials may be given to Anna Ogden Hall in Spokane or to the Association of Handicapped Artists Inc., 5150 Broadway, Depew, N.Y., 14043.

Neita Herboldt Portland

Service for Neita J. Herboldt, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries, Idaho.

Mrs. Herboldt died Thursday. Born in Forest, Idaho, she moved with her parents to Adams County at age seven.

She received teacher training at Lewiston Normal School for two years and taught in rural Idaho for five years.

She married Mathew Herboldt in 1929 and they made their home in the Winchester, Idaho, area until 1938 when they moved to Harrison Flats.

She was a member of the Harrison Baptist Church.

Mrs. Herboldt moved to Portland in 1992 to live with her daughter.

Mr. Herboldt died in 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Werth of Birmingham, Ala., and Ruby Isaac of Portland; two brothers, Howard Lemons of Fruitland, Idaho, and Verle Lemons of Olympia, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mike Boussard Sr. Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Mike J. Boussard Sr., 81, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Boussard died Friday. He was born in Canada and was raised in Butte, Mont.

He was a miner for a short time and then served in the Army during World War II.

After his discharge he worked as a construction carpenter in Montana and California.

He retired in 1970 and moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1973.

Mr. Boussard was a life member of the Carpenters Union.

Survivors include a son, Mike Boussad Jr. of Hillsboro, Ore.; and a daughter, Sandra Dillard of Sacramento.

Robert McMillian Maple Valley, Wash.

Memorial service for Robert Clayton McMillian, 68, was held at the St. Anthony Church in Renton, Wash. Private cremation was under the direction of Faull Renton Funeral Home.

Mr. McMillian, who died Jan. 18, was born in Clinton, Mo.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II.

Mr. McMillian moved to Spokane in 1963 and was a barber in the Spokane Valley from 1964 to 1991.

Mr. McMillian moved to the Renton area in 1991.

He married Helen P. Huffman in 1943.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Kathleen Niccoli of Maple Valley, Patricia Ferris of Garland, Texas, and Holly Henson and Theresa Corey, both of Spokane; three brothers, Kenneth McMillian and Donald McMillian, both of DeSoto, Kan., and Thurman McMillian of Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandsons.

Edward Davis Spokane

Memorial service for Edward A. Davis, 40, is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Country Crossroads Christian Family Church.

Ball and Dodd Funeral Home South is in charge of cremation and arrangements.

Mr. Davis died Thursday. Born in Spokane, he attended Rogers High School.

He worked as a tire man for the trucking industry.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Sherri M. Davis; two daughters, Shannon Davis and April Davis, both at the home; his mother, Beverly Montague of Spokane; and two brothers, James Davis of Walla Walla and Howard Montague of Montana.

Marian Schimke Seattle

Memorial service for Marian Evans Schimke, 90, will be held at a later date.

Groth Funeral Home in Seattle is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schimke died Jan. 10. Born in Chillicothe, Ill., she was a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Washington.

She taught school in Palouse and Cashmere and in later years worked as a social worker.

She married Dr. Tolbert D. Schimke in 1928 and they made their home in Spokane.

Mrs. Schimke was active in music and civic organizations including the Community Concert Association.

A Juilliard School scholarship winner, she was a pianist and a member of the Friday Musical Club and Mu Phi Epsilon sorority.

Mrs. Schimke was a member of Westminister Congregational Church and active in Rachel Chapter.

Mr. Schimke died in 1980 and she moved to Seattle in 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Bazemore of Seattle; a son, Dr. Robert Schimke of Palo Alto, Calif.; a brother, Robert Evans of Bow Lake, N.H.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Margaret Buchanan Spokane

Service for Margaret C. Buchanan, 73, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home North followed by burial at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mrs. Buchanan died Thursday. Born in Eureka, Mont., she moved to Spokane as a child.

She graduated from Rogers High School.

She was a photo finisher for 30 years and a life member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Her husband, Ronald E. Buchanan, died in 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Bush of Spokane; a sister, Agnes Morgan of Spokane; and one granddaughter.

Friends may make memorial contributions to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Ronald Logsdon Spokane

Service for Ronald A. Logsdon, 56, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Logsdon, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday of a heart attack.

He graduated from Lindberg High School in 1956 and was the first concrete pump operator in the Spokane area.

Mr. Logsdon was president of Riverfalls Concrete Pumping Co. Inc. for 18 years.

He married Beverly Jassman in 1959.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Beverly Logsdon; a daughter, Sherrie Lee of Deer Lake; two sons, Gary Logsdon of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Larry Logsdon of Arlington, Wash.; a sister, Karen Rambo of Spokane; a brother, Norman Logsdon of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
