Grants Will Benefit N. Idaho Groups
North Idaho grants from a state foundation will help immunize children, teach parents and fix a museum roof, among other things.
The Idaho Community Foundation awarded more than $9,000 to eight local groups. The foundation solicits and distributes donations for charitable groups in Idaho.
The local recipients include:
$2,400 to the Coeur d’Alene Women’s Center, Inc. for education materials for victims of domestic violence.
$1,825 for immunization equipment for the Panhandle Health District.
$1,300 for furniture for the Bonner County Homeless Task Force.
$1,000 for the Leadership Education Adventure Project to teach low-income children in Sandpoint.
$1,000 to the Wallace District Mining Museum, to fix the museum roof.
$765 for training equipment for the Bayview-Athol Quick Response Unit, a volunteer medical team.
$550 for prenatal classes for lowincome women in Bonner’s Ferry.
$475 for the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department for a “Learn Not to Burn” class for pre-schoolers.
