Kxly Beginning Revamped Newscast

A new “Newsfour Daytime” news show has replaced two half-hour news shows broadcast from 11 a.m. to noon weekdays on KXLY-Channel 4.

The first segment of the new weekday newscast will be the top news stories, but the remainder of the segment will feature stories that focus on the family.

Recital for Ott on KPBX

Those who missed the Steven Drury recital honoring Spokane piano teacher Margaret Saunders Ott in May at The Met can catch it tonight at 8 p.m. on KPBX-FM 91.

The music includes Beethoven’s “Moonlight” sonata, Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op. 61; Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit and the world premiere of Lee Hyla’s “Basic Training,” commissioned in honor of Ott.
