Mantle Going Public

Former New York Yankees star Mickey Mantle has scheduled his first public appearance since undergoing a liver transplant.

The 63-year-old will hold a 1 p.m. news conference Tuesday at Baylor University Medical Center, where he underwent surgery on June 8.

The Hall of Famer has been recuperating in seclusion since his June 28 discharge from the hospital.
