Fund Gives Money To Kids’ Organizations

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Idaho Children’s Trust Fund has announced four North Idaho organizations will receive more than $3,700 for programs benefiting children.

The Boundary County Child Abuse Task Force was awarded $500 to provide parenting classes in the prevention of abuse and neglect. The Bonners Ferry office of the Panhandle Health District received $1,210 for its “advocate mother” program, which provides support and advocacy to at-risk families.

The Kootenai County Extension Office received $500 to train volunteers to conduct parenting classes, and Kootenai Medical Center will use a $1,500 grant to fund training materials for the Idaho Child Abuse Response Team.

The money comes from a “check off” that citizens can choose on their state income tax form. , DataTimes
