Vacation Delays Alexander Trial

The prosecutor has vacation coming, so a new trial date has been set for a Lewiston man charged with vehicular manslaughter for the March 16 traffic death of another Lewiston man.

Nez Perce County Prosecutor Denise Rosen asked 2nd District Judge Ronald Schilling to change Orin T. Alexander’s trial date from Aug. 21 to accommodate her annual vacation. The new trial date is Sept. 11.

Alexander, 19, is charged in connection with the death of 23-year-old Troy M. McCormick, whose 3-year-old daughter also was seriously injured in the accident.
