Alabama Awaits Decision
Alabama’s meeting with the NCAA Infractions Committee lasted 7 hours. The school’s wait to hear about sanctions will be much longer.
University president Rogers Sayers said the Saturday meeting was “a very helpful interchange,” but he expects it will be weeks before the NCAA announces a punishment.
School officials appeared before the NCAA Committee on Infractions in Kansas City to plead their case regarding rules violations involving two former football players. The committee had rejected two summary disposition offers by the school, saying it wanted officials to explain their conduct in person.
