Booklet Can Help After A Stroke
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Agency for Health Care Policy and Research has developed a booklet about post-stroke rehabilitation.
The 33-page booklet, “Recovering After a Stroke,” informs stroke survivors, their families, care-givers and rehabilitation professionals about available post-stroke rehabilitation. For a free copy, call (800) 358-9295.
Goin’ fishin’
The third-annual FishFest for physically challenged people gets under way Thursday, 3 to 7 p.m., at Bear Lake, north of Spokane.
FishFest is designed to teach people with physical disabilities, resulting from spinal cord or head injury, stroke and amputation and how to fish by using adaptive equipment and techniques. Registration is required. For more information, call 838-7274.
