Police Hope Helpful Pair Will Provide Clue To Hit And Run
Coeur d’Alene Police are looking for two people who helped an injured hit-and-run victim Tuesday night.
A man and woman helped Robert Quast after a Bronco-type vehicle hit him while he was riding his electric wheelchair down Sherman Avenue.
Quast’s wheelchair was smashed and his ankle was fractured in the accident. The couple found him near Henry’s Restaurant but police have not been able to figure out who they are.
“I would very much like them to talk to me,” Bergh said. “They could hopefully provide me with some information that would assist me in solving who did this.”
Bergh said has some leads in the case.
Anyone with information should call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at (208) 769-2320.
Quast, who suffers from cerebral palsy, is recovering at home. Idaho and Washington residents have donated money to help him buy a new electric wheelchair. More than $2,300 has been collected so far, with more pledged.
Those wanting to give can make donations at The Iron Horse Restaurant in Coeur d’Alene or at KEZEFM radio station in Spokane.
