Sandpoint Woman Dies After Car Hits Tree

A Sandpoint woman died after losing control of her car in a hail storm near Cataldo, Idaho, on Saturday night.

Christine G. Jensen, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Idaho State Police reported.

Jensen was headed west on Interstate 90 about 4:37 p.m. when the storm struck, the ISP said. She tried to slow her Oldsmobile Cutlass down and change lanes, but lost control of the car and hit a tree.

Jensen was wearing a seat belt.
