Potlatch’s Brad Minden Hurls One-Hitter, Fans 17

Potlatch pitcher Brad Minden didn’t waste any time drawing attention to himself on the mound this season.
Minden pitched a one-hitter in 1-0 road win against St. Maries on Tuesday in a non-league contest.
Minden struck out 17 batters and walked none in an amazing performance.
St. Maries pitcher Jason Holdahl was no slouch either, as he pitched five strong innings - striking out seven batters and walking none. His relief help, J.D.Ragan, allowed no runs and no hits while striking out five.
Potlatch scored the only run on an error in the top of the fourth inning.
East Valley 12, Post Falls 8
In non-league action at East Valley, the Knights rallied for a wild win. Post Falls scored six runs to start the game before EV cut the lead to 6-4 in the bottom of the first inning.
The Knights then scored five runs in their half of the third to take the lead for good.
EV’s Brock Rogers hit a double to the wall to bring in a run, while teammates Tom Fox and Steve Pipken had RBI singles in the inning as well.
