Nealon Jumping ‘Snl’ Ship

From Wire Reports

Kevin Nealon is leaving NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” after eight seasons on the late-night comedy show. An NBC spokeswoman said “no announcement has been made” regarding Nealon’s future, but sources said he will depart at the end of this month. Nealon’s manager, Brad Grey, was not available for comment.

Nealon, who joined the show in the 1986-87 season, is the latest “SNL” cast member to jump ship. Mike Myers left in mid-season. Janeane Garofalo also departed to make a feature film, but indicated she would return in the fall. Nealon is in an ABC pilot for the fall called “Champs” with Timothy Busfield and Ed Marinaro.
