Compiled From Wire Services

Two-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, saying he is healed and healthy, weighed in at 209 3/4 pounds for his comeback fight against Ray Mercer.

Mercer, also on the comeback trail, weighed 224 for Saturday night’s bout at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Holyfield, 32, has not been this light since he weighed 205 on Nov. 13, 1992, when he lost the title to Riddick Bowe. After that, he weighed 212 in beating Alex Stewart, 217 in regaining the championship from Bowe and 214 when he lost it to Michael Moorer on April 22, 1994.

After the fight with Moorer, Holyfield was diagnosed with a heart condition and retired from the ring. He later was cleared by the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to resume boxing.

Also on the card, Hector Camacho defends his IBC welterweight title against Homer Gibbins.
