Education Officials Conducting Forum

Educators, parents, school board members and citizens are invited to a special education forum today sponsored by the state Department of Education.

Special education consultants with the department will be in Moscow this morning and Coeur d’Alene this afternoon to introduce themselves and discuss special education funding and other issues.

An overview of state special education activities and support, technology, federal funding and the transition from elementary to secondary school will be on the agenda. An hour is set aside for questions and feedback.

The forum is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Moscow, in Banquet Room A of the Mark IV, 414 N. Main. In Coeur d’Alene, the forum is from 2 to 5 p.m. in Bay 1 of the Holiday Inn, 414 W. Appleway.
