Catholic School Holds Preregistration
The Holy Family Catholic School is holding preregistration for next fall from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Thomas Center.
The private Catholic school is still raising funds to establish itself and needs to know how many students may be interested in attending next year.
“The preregistration is really important to us” for planning purposes, said school organizer Roger Stewart.
Preregistration costs $50. The proposed school will open initially for kindergarten through fifth-grade students.
The school originally was going to open this fall, but the founders did not raise enough money to meet operating costs.
Now, Stewart said, they’ve raised about 60 percent of what they need to open. Another raffle is planned for January, he said. The last raffle raised $80,000.
If the school does not open next fall, the school will refund registration fees, Stewart said.
The St. Thomas Center is at the corner of 10th Street and Indiana Avenue.
